Griffin Security Group Consultant Attains CESG (CLAS) Status

Griffin Security Group is delighted to announce that John Locking has recently received confirmation that he will be added to the membership of CESG (CLAS) accredited consultants with effect from 1st October 2009.

John joined Griffin Security Group in January 2008 after leaving the RAF after a full Service career. Whilst in the RAF Police John served both in the UK and overseas providing advice and guidance regarding all matters pertaining to information assurance as well the production of risk management accreditation document sets for sensitive military information communications technology systems. John’s experiences in the Service have provided him with a wide range skills and experiences in security management

John is an accomplished versatile and resourceful information security consultant who, in addition to his new CESG CLAS membership also holds certificates in Prince 2 Project Management Practitioner and CISMP (Certificate in Information Security Management Principles). Since joining the Griffin Security Group John has gained substantial experience of working in a complex public environment conducting projects involving information security reviews to ensure compliance with current regulations and standards (including recommendations identified within the Hannigan Report and Poynter Review, ISO27001, formerly BS7799 as well as the HMG Manual of Protective Security (JSP 440) and other more recent Cabinet Office directives). John is equally well versed in the provision of security training programmes to raise staff awareness and corporate security cultures.
